My passion for music inspired me to become a DJ. I received my first set of DJ decks in my early teens, and from that moment I always knew it was something I wanted to pursue. I love the way music brings people together and creates unforgettable experiences. Being able to read a crowd, create the right atmosphere, and share my love of music with others is what motivated me to develop my skills and build a career in DJing.
How did you get started with Iconic DJs?
I got started working with iconic DJs through long-standing friendships and connections within the industry. By being actively involved in the music scene for many years, I built trusted relationships that led to opportunities to collaborate and work alongside some of the biggest names in DJing.
What’s your favourite part about performing at weddings?
My favourite part of performing at weddings is seeing the reaction and satisfaction from the couple and their guests. There’s nothing better than helping bring a couple’s vision to life and creating the atmosphere they’ve dreamed of for their special day. Seeing everyone on the dance floor, enjoying themselves, and knowing you’ve played a part in making lasting memories is incredibly rewarding.
What genres do you love mixing most?
As a multi-genre DJ, I love mixing a wide variety of music and adapting to different crowds. From Bollywood and Bhangra to R&B, hip-hop, house, Afrobeats, commercial hits, and dance classics, I enjoy blending different genres to create unforgettable moments. The diversity keeps every set fresh and allows me to connect with people from all backgrounds through music.
What’s your go-to track to get the party started?
Jatt 24 Karat. It’s a track that always gets a good reaction and helps get people on the dance floor early.
How do you approach building a set for a wedding or event?
When building a set for a wedding or event, I always start by speaking with the couple or client beforehand to understand their vision and requirements. I ask about any must-play songs, songs or genres they’d prefer not to hear, and the type of atmosphere they want to create throughout the event. Once I have that foundation, I use my experience as a multi-genre DJ to read the crowd on the day and freestyle the rest of the set, adapting to the energy in the room to keep guests engaged and the dance floor full.
What’s one song you secretly love dropping into a set?
Show Me Love by Robin S. It’s a classic that never seems to lose its impact. Whether I’m playing to a younger crowd or an older one, it always gets a great response and fits naturally into so many different styles of set.
What’s been your most memorable wedding or event so far?
One of my most memorable events was a destination wedding in Barcelona. It was an incredible experience performing in such a beautiful setting, and what made it even more special was that the wedding was later featured in British Vogue. Being part of such a memorable celebration and seeing it recognised afterwards was a real career highlight.
Have you worked at any standout venues or large-scale productions?
Yes, I’ve had the opportunity to perform at some incredible venues, including the Natural History Museum, Grosvenor House, The Dorchester, Fairmont Windsor, The Londoner etc. Each venue offers a unique experience, and it’s been a privilege to be part of events ranging from luxury weddings to large-scale celebrations in some of the UK’s most prestigious settings.
What makes you different from other DJs in the scene?
What makes me different from other DJs is my ability to combine strong DJing with confident hosting skills, allowing me to keep the energy high both on and off the microphone. I’m a versatile multi-genre DJ who can adapt to any crowd, whether it’s a younger audience, an older crowd, or a mix of generations. Having performed for people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, I’m able to read the room quickly and tailor the music to create an inclusive atmosphere that keeps everyone engaged and on the dance floor.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
People are often surprised by how naturally I can transition between completely different genres. I can go from Bollywood to House, R&B, Afrobeats, or Bhangra and keep the energy flowing without it feeling forced. Reading the crowd and making those transitions feel seamless is one of my strengths as a DJ.
What’s your pre-event ritual or routine?
My pre-event routine is all about preparation; checking my equipment, reviewing the event details, organising playlists, and making sure I have music ready for every type of crowd. I also like to check in with the venue and other suppliers to ensure everyone is aligned and everything is running to plan. Once that’s done, I can relax and focus on creating the right atmosphere and delivering a great experience for guests.
How would your clients describe you in three words?
Professional, versatile, engaging.
